King Zog's elder half-brother Prince Xhelal Zogu had children: Skender, Mirgin, Genc, Elvira, Melita and Vera. In Prince Xhelal went into exile, where he died in 1944 in Istanbul.
Princess Senije, King Zog's favourite sister and companion, was made head of the Albanian Red Cross. In 1936 she married His Imperial Highness Prince Abid of Turkey, son of Sultan Abdul Hamid II.
King Zog's eldest sister Princess Adile Doshishti had 3 sons: Hysein, Salih and Sherafadin Doshishti and 2 daughers Teri and Danush Doshishti. When they left for exile their father Emin Agolli Doshishti stayed behind in Albania. In the 1930s Teri and Danush Doshishti were sent to school in England, where they attended Heathfield School for Girls at Ascot in Berkshire.
King Zog's sister Nafije had a son Tati Kryeziu. In 1931 Tati was styled Prince Tati of Kosovo. He died in France in 1993.
In 1938 the sisters toured the USA travelling to New York, Boston and Philadelphia. Then they travelled to England where they stayed at The Ritz in London and visited their nieces Teri and Danush at Heathfield School, Ascot.
In 1939 they left Albania for the last time and went into exile with their brother, the King.
In 1946 Princess Adile and her children Sherafadin, Teri and Danush stayed in England. The others went to Egypt where Princess Ruhije died in 1948. The rest of King Zog's sisters died in the south of France and they are buried near King Zog in Paris.
